    Rain moves east

    Rain and showers isolating to eastern Europe and Scandinavia, fine and
    often sunny central and west Europe.

    Tuesday
    Fine and very warm for Spain and Portugal, some cloud around. Dry and
    sunny for the Balearic Islands as well as Sardinia and Corsica.
    Similarly fine in Italy, only a few afternoon showers in far southern
    areas. Fair for the northern Balkan states, some showers forming in
    southern areas, notably Albania and North Macedonia, locally thundery.
    Showery in western Greece too, drier and sunny over the Aegean. Fine
    too in Türkiye, a few scattered showers near the coast.
    A band of rain in northern France slips to the east through the day;
    otherwise fine and sunny, quite warm in the south. This rain stretching
    into central Germany and west Poland, tending to move east through the
    day; rain may be heavy for a time in Poland and Czechia. West Germany
    and the Low Countries will see plenty of sun, some showery rain onto
    northern coasts later in the day. Mostly sunny in Switzerland and
    Austria, but showery rain sets in later in the day. Showery outbreaks
    with local thunder in western parts of Romania and Bulgaria, but mostly
    dry and fine elsewhere in eastern Europe.
    Very strong winds in southern Scandinavia, risk gale force in north
    Denmark, southern Sweden's west coast, and west Norway. Regular showers
    across Denmark and onto southwest Sweden, broad areas of rain with
    locally heavy spots for most of Sweden and Norway. East Sweden has the
    greatest chance of dry and sunny periods. Rain too in Finland, tending
    to drift north with increasing sun spells south. Rain on and off too in
    the Baltic States, becoming extensive and heavy in Lithuania late in
    the day.

    Wednesday
    Fine and hot from Iberia through the central Mediterranean. A sunny,
    hot day in Italy with only scattered showers in the mountainous north.
    A few local showers inland for the Balkan States, but otherwise often
    sunny and fine. Scattered showers and some cloud around in Greece and
    Türkiye, some risk of a thundery bursts near the Black Sea.

    Lots of sunshine and hot weather in Spain and Portugal, a few isolated
    showers in Spain. Some cloud around the Balearics but sunshine and hot
    temperatures across Sardinia and Corsica and into Italy. These sunny
    and dry conditions stretch over the Baltic States into Greece and
    Türkiye as well. A notable northerly wind across the central Aegean
    Sea.
    Fair in France with plenty of sunshine and warm-to-hot temperatures.
    Northernmost areas may see more cloud, this cloud extending to parts of
    the Low Countries and northern Germany. Central and southern Germany
    will be dry with sunshine. Some cloud extends into Poland as well where
    morning showers are expected north, but central and southern areas
    should be substantially sunny. Austria and Switzerland may have

    Hot again southern France and widely sunny. Mild-to-warm temperatures
    from the Low Countries eastward into Czechia and Poland - mostly sunny
    here. Fine for Austria and Switzerland, a few local showery moments in
    the Alps. Some morning showers in central Poland will drift east and
    become locally thundery in the afternoon. Hot in Hungary and Slovakia,

    showers for Sardinia and Corsica. Italy will have some afternoon
    thunderstorms inland, some of them very heavy, particularly in the
    south near Sicily. The Balkan Sates and Greece may see a few scattered
    inland showers but mostly dry and very warm. Türkiye will be sunny and
    warm.
    France may have a few showers in the east; otherwise it is going to be
    dry and bright with good sunshine. Broken cloud for the Low Countries

    Very wet across much of central Europe as thunderstorms form over and
    around the Alps, drifting east. Northern Europe trending milder.

    Wednesday
    More fine southern weather on most of Iberia though frequent showers
    continue in north and east pars of Spain. Showers appear in the
    Balearics as well as Sardinia and Corsica. Wet across northern Italy
    with thundery showers. More scattered showers in central Italy,
    becoming thunderstorms later in the day; mostly sunny and fine in the
    south. A few scattered showers in Slovenia and Croatia, heaviest
    showers west Slovenia. Otherwise dry and sunny for the Balkan States.
    Scattered showers too over hills in Romania southward through Bulgaria
    into Greece, extensive sun away and between showers. Only a few showers
    on central Turkish coasts, otherwise fine here.
    Wet for most of France with thundery spells, most frequent in the east.
    These thundery showers extend east across the Alps, extensively over
    Switzerland and much of Austria. Southern Germany likely to see showers
    as well with local thunder. Mostly dry with mixed cloud and sun in
    north Germany, the Low Countries, and Poland, only some scattered rain
    northeast Poland. Likely dry too for Czechia, Slovakia, and Hungary,
    though increasingly cloudy and some risk of isolated bursts of rain
    late in the day. Rain moves north-to-south through Belarus. Fine in
    Ukraine.
    Feeling milder across much of Scandinavia, particularly Norway where
    rain will be quite persistent in central and northern areas. Dry, sunny
    weather for Denmark and southern Sweden. Scattered rain across northern
    parts of Sweden and Finland, tending to fade as the day goes. Morning
    rain in the Baltic States slips southeast, clearing most areas for a
    sunny late afternoon.

    Thursday
    Showery outbreaks continue near north and east coasts of Spain, milder
    in north Spain than recently. Still dry and very warm south/west
    Iberia. Risk of showers continues for the Balearics and Sardinia and
    Corsica, some chance of thundery downpours. Thunderstorm risk persists
    in central and northern Italy and Slovenia, milder too in these areas.
    Some heavy showers into Croatia as well. The rest of the Balkans and
    southeast Europe fine with very warm sunshine.
    More west weather for much of France with thundery downpours in the
    east near the Alps. Northern areas substantially dry, with dry weather
    extending eastward across the Low Countries, Germany, and Poland.
    Expect a mix of cloud and sun in these areas. A band of heavy, thundery
    rain extends eastward from east France across the Alps through to
    Hungary and Slovakia. Unsettled too in Czechia, though more scattered
    and light in nature. Some scattered showers into western Romania and
    Ukraine as well, increasing in strength into nighttime.
    A brisk westerly wind across Denmark with a few showers. Showery too in
    southern Sweden with sun spells between. Remaining wet across Norway's
    coast, driest in southern areas with a mix of cloud and sun. Showery
    too with sunshine in Finland and into Estonia. Only scattered showers
    in Latvia and Lithuania, mostly sunny away from showers.

    A few showers in the far north of Spain, otherwise fair across Iberia

    Sardinia. Italy is likely to be dry with good spells of sunshine
    through the western Alpine area will become showery as the day goes.
    Scattered showers for the inland Baltics southward into west Greece,
    good sun spells between showers. East Greece and Türkiye dry and mostly
    sunny, some cloud may drift around near the Black Sea.
    Heavy thundery rain will prevail across much of France through the day,
    most widespread in eastern areas. This same system pushes showers into
